Bosch - Braking components from the pedal to the wheel

While many aftermarket suppliers tend to cherry pick products for their braking range and concentrate on pads and discs, Bosch is one company that can genuinely claim to have expertise in the entire braking system with one complete portfolio offer.

Having expertise throughout the braking system, from pedal to wheel, not only allows workshops to benefit from approaching a century of Bosch experience and original equipment supply expertise, but also offers practical benefits, meaning garages can save time and money by selecting from the consistent and reliable Bosch single source braking range.

The Bosch braking portfolio covers around 11,000 part numbers broken down into 27 braking sub-families. This means that it has application coverage for more than 92% for European, Asian and American origin cars in Europe, with a range especially fine tuned to the needs of the Irish market.

To ensure that all market needs continue to be met, the Bosch braking portfolio is consistently updated with over 500 new products each year, with many of these catering for the growing need to service and maintain braking systems on electric and hybrid vehicles.

The Bosch range, of course, comprehensively caters for the braking basics such as pads, discs, shoes, drums and brake kits. It also includes vital transmission equipment such as hoses, cables, fluids and lubricants as well as actuation equipment including master cylinders, boosters and regulators.

Unlike many other ranges, the Bosch braking range also features modulation and active safety system components for systems such as ABS, TCS and ESP. Indeed as the pioneer of many of these safety systems, Bosch has truly unrivalled expertise in this area and continues to work very closely with vehicle manufacturers in the design and enhancement of such systems and components. This expertise is passed on to aftermarket businesses through the Bosch aftermarket braking programme and supports that include diagnostic equipped, comprehensive technical information and training programmes.
