The SKODA Superb Combi has been named Fleet Car Estate of the Year at the presentation of the second annual Motorcheck.ie Fleet Car Awards 2013.

Over two days, 27 shortlisted cars from 7 categories were assessed by an expert adjudication panel. Marks were awarded for the car’s styling, quality, engine and driving performance, equipment levels, safety, residuals and running costs.

SKODA aims to sell 5,000 cars in 2013 with the Superb model range expected to account for 19% of this.

Accepting the award, Robert Guy, Head of Sales, SKODA said “We are delighted that the SKODA Superb has been recognised this year, as the estate car of choice within the fleet sector. The Superb Combi is one of the roomiest cars in this segment combining class-leading rear seat leg room with 633-litres of luggage space, expanding to 1,865-litres with the seats folded”.

Guy added, “The Superb range, available in both two- and four-wheel drive, is competitively priced with entry models starting from €25,510. To add to this, we have just launched an exciting new offer for selected Superb models which is available until 31st May. The offer upgrades selected Superb models to include a free built in satellite navigation system, 3 years free servicing and 1 years free road tax. Together with SKODA Finance which is available from 3.9%APR, the SKODA Superb is a highly affordable executive car,” added Guy.
