Motaquip, one of the UK’s leading aftermarket parts suppliers, has made its first move into Ireland by signing a new distribution agreement with Premco Distributors.

Premco Distributors are a new ‘Super Factor’, based in Dublin, set up and owned by Jim Finan who has more than 25 years experience in the motor trade in Ireland.

Premco will initially be distributing timing belts* and kits, along with drive belts, CV boots, steering rack gaiters, key-fob batteries and hose clips to its factor customers. It is anticipated that further additions from the Motaquip product range will be made towards the end of 2008.

Peter Cox, national sales manager for Motaquip, commented on the agreement: “We are very excited about the prospect of working with Premco in Ireland. Jim Finan has unrivalled experience in the Irish motor trade and can consolidate Motaquip’s distribution into this potentially valuable market. This is an excellent opportunity for both Jim and us.”

Jim Finan commented: “Motaquip is a great brand and I am delighted to be able to introduce the company to the Irish market. There is a real opportunity here for the one-stop-shop product approach and excellent logistics capabilities that Motaquip can offer”.  Premco can be contacted on 01-257-0257.
