Schaeffler, the global automotive and industrial supplier, will be showcasing its complete portfolio of market and future-oriented repair solutions for combustion engines, hybrid and electric vehicles at Automechanika Frankfurt from September 13th to 17th, 2022.

“Your business is our focus” will be the motto of Schaeffler's Automotive Aftermarket division at the world famous trade fair, as the company presents a raft of new products on their stand from the LuK, INA and FAG product brands. Schaeffler will also be looking at the daily repair routine expected in a modern workshop, as well as the future of mobility.

Making its debut at the show is a new E-axle repair kit, the “Schaeffler E-Axle RepSystem - G”, which is among the finalists in the race for the Automechanika Innovation Award.

“Schaeffler is well prepared for the increasing repair needs of hybrid and electric vehicles and has always brought new technologies and expertise from its original equipment experience into the independent aftermarket. Staying true to this approach is particularly evident this year, as is the opportunity to once again have face-to-face engagement with visitors,” explains Jens Schüler, CEO of Schaeffler Automotive Aftermarket. “With our smart repair solutions and digital service offerings, we help garages meet the growing challenges of e-mobility and digitalization. At the same time, we ensure that they are still able to repair traditional combustion engines in a professional way, enabling garages to continue providing a complete service to their customers.”

Schaeffler’s Automechanika 2022 stand can be found in the Forum building at the Agora outdoor area, (A02), and features three zones: “Market-Centric,” “Customer-Oriented” and Future-Ready.”

“Market-Centric” focuses on the needs of customers and includes repair solutions that garages require today and in the near future. Highlights include the LuK C0 disconnect clutch repair kit for hybrid vehicles, the second-generation INA Thermal Management Module for vehicles with automatic start/stop or hybrid drive, and the latest wheel bearing generations available as FAG WheelSets.

Schaeffler will also be presenting the latest technologies emerging from its involvement in new vehicle development. Visitors can take a look at the 800-volt 3-in-1 E-axle, the latest TriFinity wheel bearings or the intelligent mechatronic rear-wheel steering system (iRWS). All of these advanced technologies will at some point become relevant to workshops, with Schaeffler ideally positioned to provide the independent aftermarket with relevant and appropriate repair solutions. An example of this is the “Schaeffler E-Axle RepSystem - G” , which is currently the only repair solution that allows workshops to repair E-axles instead of completely replacing them. The aftermarket experts will demonstrate how this translates into reality by carrying out live demonstrations on a Volkswagen E-Golf at their stand.

Support is another focus topic on the stand with Schaeffler’s REPXPERT service brand in the “Customer-Oriented” zone. REPXPERT combines all Schaeffler’s aftermarket service offerings, providing instant digital support for independent garages, as well as personal contact. This includes a TecDoc powered catalogue.

Visitors can also try out the new Schaeffler OneCode interactive labelling system. The QR code can be found on the latest LuK, INA and FAG product boxes, offering easy access to product specific technical information, a way to check the authenticity of the parts in the box and also collect REPXPERT bonus points.

Schaeffler is also dedicating a big part of its trade fair presence to the topics of future mobility and sustainability, which is where Schaeffler’s “rolling chassis” takes centre stage. This space-saving, scalable vehicle architecture is geared towards autonomous driving, featuring drive-by-wire technology, four electric high or low-voltage wheel hub drives and single wheel steering.

The Schaeffler Group will also be outlining its ambitious sustainability goals at the special "Innovations4Mobility" show, the company will present future-oriented solutions on climate-friendly mobility at 11:30am on September 14th on the stage in Hall 3.0, Stand B98.
