Riverpark Training, the specialist ATA approved accident repair training facility, based in Mallusk, has released some key training dates and course details for the coming months.
The courses cover a range of skills and techniques for bodyshop technicians, managers and estimators and can be booked on an individual basis or as a complete package. Booking discounts apply to bookings of 4 or more courses and for bookings made before April 22nd.
The dates to note are:
22nd April 2015 - Panel skills and Aluminium repair This course is divided into two half-day segments, with the first aimed at improving basic panel skills and speed of repair and the second designed to improve repair time and skills, so repair instead of replacement can be utilised in the bodyshop.
23rd April 2015 - MAG & Spot Welding/MIG Brazing This is designed to improve on basic skills and the development of new skills to achieve a high standard in MAG welding. It also includes IMI AOM009 certification.
13th May 2015 - Plastic Repairs/Plastic welding
A course aimed at improving the trainee’s skills in repairing modern plastics allowing for more profitable repair as opposed to replacement of commonly damaged plastic parts.
28th May 2015 - Vehicle Refinishing
This is a 2-day course designed for those working in the Accident Repair Industry who want to gain improved knowledge of paint application. It is aimed at panel technicians, estimators or business owners who don’t have hands on experience of vehicle refinishing but need a more practical understanding.
29th May 2015 - Vehicle Construction Theory
This course is designed for business owners and estimators to understand new vehicle construction and the benefit of getting the repair method right from the start.
17th June 2015 - Air Conditioning and FGas regulations
This is a 1-day course designed to improve the knowledge of new and existing MET technicians on the regulations and safe methods of handling R134a and R1234yf refrigerant gasses. It will also include EU certification to successful candidates.
18th June 2015 - Four Wheel Alignment
This course is designed to improve basic knowledge of vehicle geometry. The course will be targeted at achieving correct initial diagnoses of suspension damage and improving up-selling of suspension components.
Training takes place at the Riverpark Training Centre in Mallusk, Co. Antrim, which is less than a two hour drive from Dublin. Hotel accommodation can also be arranged where required and trainees travelling by train can be collected at the station.
