Leading suppliers to the automotive aftermarket have shown their support for the new Automechanika exhibition in Birmingham, by signing up in big numbers to be part of the event. Organisers say that more than 500 exhibitors are expected, making the Birmingham show the biggest ever launch of Automechanika outside of its original Frankfurt home.

With seven months still to go before the doors open, well over 400 exhibitors have already joined the inaugural Automechanika Birmingham exhibitor list.  This means the exhibition, which was originally planned for one hall at the NEC, will now cover three halls and over 21,000 sqm of satnd space.

So far big aftermarket names confirmed for the event include; Schaeffler, Delphi, Denso, Valeo, 3M, TRW, ZF Friedrichshafen, NGK, Mann + Hummel, Robert Bosch, Tetrosyl and Yokohama. In addition more than 70 international exhibitors are confirmed as well as national pavilions from Italy, Spain, China and Taiwan.

Organisers now predict 500 exhibitors will be in place for the June event.  Michael Johannes, Brand manager of Automechanika says, "In terms of Automechanika launches around the globe, Birmingham will have a bigger first year than Shanghai, Dubai and Istanbul. This really demonstrates the demand from the industry for an encompassing event and that we have the right brand in Automechanika.”

Automechanika Birmingham will take place from 7-9 June 2016, in halls 9, 10 and 11 at the NEC Birmingham.
