Cromax, one of the three global refinish brands of Axalta Coating Systems, a leading global supplier of liquid and powder coatings, has introduced a new clearcoat additive, AM951 Special Maroon. This new clearcoat tint has been formulated to offer a solution for refinishers who need to repair the challenging Mazda 46V – Soul Red Crystal colour to match.

Kevin Welling, Training Academy Manager for Axalta Coating Systems says, “Mazda 46V – Soul Red Crystal can be tricky to match without the right tints or digital colour matching tools. This new tint is the solution our bodyshops need to repair these types of high chroma effect OEM colours. Used in combination with the Cromax digital colour tools, such as the ChromaVision and ChromaVision Pro spectrophotometers, finding the right formula for an accurate colour match is easy.”

The Cromax Basecoat formula for the Mazda 46V Soul Red Crystal is now available in ChromaWeb.

For more information on this new clearcoat additive or the full range of Cromax products and services, contact your local distributor or visit www.cromax.com/gb.
