Best known for their range of Blackhawk repair equipment and chassis alignment systems, the Roberts Automotive team were featuring a much smaller but innovative star product at the recent ABP event in Dublin.

The Blackhawk Induction Heater is a compact but powerful device that can heat metal in seconds and has a host of applications around the bodyshop. It provides a safe and professional heating source using high frequency magnetic fields. This means, for example, it can help to easily release corroded bolts that can be a real headache to repairers.

The heater comes with a selection of coils that can flex around corners and are cable of heating a 3/4" nut red hot in 15 seconds. It means problem parts can be removed quickly and easily, without the associated dangers of using a naked flame, or the problems of handling Oxy-Acetylene gas bottles.

Dave Roberts of Roberts Automotive comments, "The Blackhawk Induction Heater is one of those items of equipment that you really wonder how you ever managed without it once you start using it.” He adds "Our bodyshop customers find it very quick, convenient and easy to use and it helps to greatly reduce the potential dangers of using open flame appliances in the workshop.”
