The motor factors golfing society, held its Captains Day outing at Loughrea Golf Club, Co Galway, on Friday May 21st in blistering sunshine.


Society Captain Martin Kennedy (KD Autoparts Galway) was delighted with the turnout and welcomed all players to Loughrea and expressed his gratitude to the sponsors for their continued and generous support. The outing was well attended by 50 golfers representing motor factors and wholesalers from all parts of the country.

Captain Martin Kennedy was pleased to present his prize to Declan Ennis (Nobby Clarke Ltd) who returned a score of 41 points (h/cap 12) on what Declan described as near perfect conditions. The proceedings were followed by the AGM where Mark Lawless was re-elected as Society Hon’ Secretary and Tom Crowley re-elected as H/cap Secretary, outgoing Captain  Martin Kennedy proposed John Nolan ( Agri Autoparts Ltd) as Captain for the coming year, John was pleased to accept and announced that his Captains prize will be contested at Tralee Golf Club next May 2011. Outgoing President Fergus Reid (Qualvecom Ltd) proposed Tom Kennedy (Strongline Autoparts) to replace him for the coming year, Tom likewise was pleased to accept stating that his Presidents prize will be contested at Thurles Golf Club on Friday the 3rd of September.
