Sealey has launched a new auto darkening welding helmet with a Powered Air Purifying Respirator that is suitable for MIG, TIG and arc welding.

The new helmet, Part no. PWH616, has a lithium battery powered respirator unit which provides the user with a constant filtered stream of air to their head and face for up to 8 hours. For added safety, an audible alarm alerts the user when the battery/air flow is getting low.

The helmet features a contoured design for added comfort, adjustable shade control from 9-13 and 5-8 and is fully automatic switching from light to dark on striking arc @ 1/25,000s. There is also a solar panel power supply. It also features a filter to reduce or remove dust and particles and adjustable airflow settings of 150/180/210L/min.

This kit meets performance class TH1 according to EN 12941:1998/A2:2008, the inner hood has protective clear visor to BS EN166 standards, and it complies with all BS EN379, EN175, EN166, EN12941 and DIN standards.
