Earlier this year McGuigan Motors was appointed as main Fiat and Fiat Professional dealer for the north-eastern part of the country.

In June 2011 they opted to remain a Chrysler and Jeep main dealer, as the American brands came under the control of Fiat Group Automobiles Ireland. That means that McGuigan Motors now holds the franchise for four of Fiat Groups five brands, more than any other dealership in the network.

McGuigan Motors has been a main dealer for Chyrsler and Jeep since 1999 and the family-run business has been based at its distinctive Muckno Street premises since it was founded in 1959. According to Dealer Principal Paul McGuigan, "Not only have we taken on two new brands in Fiat and Fiat Professional, we also have a whole range of new Jeep and Chrysler vehicles to look forward to, which makes this one of the busiest and most exciting times in the long history of McGuigan Motors."

Fiat Group Automobiles Ireland Managing Director, Adrian C. Walsh, expressed his delight at the appointment, stating: "We're thrilled to have McGuigan Motors within our dealer network. The enthusiasm and professionalism of the people at McGuigan Motors is truly remarkable and we look forward to working with them in making the Fiat, Jeep and Chrysler brands motoring staples of the north-east."
