Staff at leading aftermarket distributor J&S Automotive, have been stepping out in the month of May to raise funds for the suicide and self harm prevention charity Pieta as part of a “Step up for Pieta” initiative.

10 days into the month the staff members taking part had already hit 5.3 million steps, well on their way to the target of 15 million by the end of the month.

As part of the fund raising, members of the team from all over Ireland were out over weekend to take part in the Darkness Into Light event and despite the wet and windy weather enjoyed taking part.

Padraig Groogan from the J&S Omagh Depot also completed a mountain walk on Sperrin Mountain over the weekend.

Gary Mooney the Head of collision and crash repair at J&S had the original inspiration for the fundraiser and he continues on his ambitious quest to achieve 1 million steps in the month.
