Dayco has further strengthened its manufacturing footprint in China by partnering with Jiangsu Hongfeng Co., Ltd (HFAK) in the manufacture of its viscous damper product line. This partnership will allow Dayco to expand its best-in-class solutions for commercial vehicles and heavy-duty applications.

HFAK has more than fifteen years of experience manufacturing silicon oil dampers for diesel engines in China. Dayco’s global research and development capabilities coupled with HFAK’s lean manufacturing expertise will allow Dayco to provide customers with a full line of premium viscous dampers.

This partnership is part of Dayco’s global strategy to strengthen its footprint across regions, bringing the manufacturing of viscous dampers closer to customers. Additionally, Dayco is preparing in-house production for viscous dampers in various locations globally with plans to start production in India later this year.

Designed to maximise power system stability while minimizing noise, torsional crankshaft vibrations and harshness, this premium line of dampers helps prevent crankshaft failures and extends the lifespan of associated components while improving a vehicle’s overall fuel economy. With this new addition, Dayco rounds out its damper product line offering.
