Laser Tools has made the process of fitting Voss-type connectors to plastic air-pipes quicker and easier with the introduction of new air-pipe grips specifically designed for this job. The grip area holds the pipe securely and without damage, allowing the connector to be pushed in without kinking the pipe.

Five sizes of plastic pipe can be accommodated, from six to sixteen millimetres. For each pipe size the correct amount of space is left to accommodate the stub of the connector and also allow the expansion of the pipe over the stub. The user then steadily forces the connector into the pipe, generally with a soft hammer.

The new tool (part number 7030) will be especially appreciated by technicians working on HGV and light commercial vehicles. It is available now from Laser Tool stockists.
