ŠKODA Ireland is accepting applications for a range of trainee positions across its network, as part of a €400k investment that will support 80 new trainee positions being created over the next 4 years.

This recruitment drive comes as part of the car brand’s increased focus on training and career development here in Ireland. 20 of these roles will be filled between now and the end of the year for the positions of:

·         Apprentice Technician

·         Parts Advisor

·         Service Advisor

·         Sales Executive

Speaking about the investment, David Rave, Head of After Sales at ŠKODA Ireland, said: “This is a significant investment for us at ŠKODA and one that we see as being extremely worthwhile. ŠKODA is seeing an unprecedented level of growth in Ireland at the moment which is fantastic news for us but unfortunately, there’s a shortage of suitably qualified technicians across the motor industry as dealerships weren’t in a position to invest in training during the recession. With this investment in training, we want to ensure that we’re attracting the most talented people to work for ŠKODA in Ireland so we can continue to provide the same excellent level of service that we’ve built our reputation on.

“We’re rolling out training schemes for a variety of roles and we are particularly proud of the offering we have for apprentice technicians. Traditionally it would have taken seven years to become a fully qualified ŠKODA technician but with this new scheme, apprentice technicians can complete their training fully within four years so it’s a really attractive prospect.

“If you or anyone you know has an interest in these trainee positions we would urge you to apply. We take career development very seriously at ŠKODA and with jobs like these, plus the capacity for growth, development and promotion, we can give you an innovative, positive and deeply rewarding career for years to come.”

Potential applicants have until Wednesday, 30th November to apply for these positions, with interviews scheduled to take place in December and successful candidates starting in January 2017.
