More than 100 delegates from across Scotland, northern England and Ireland participated in a series of training events and seminars, many provided by Schaeffler REPXPERTs, during the recent Autoinform Live event held at the GTG Academy in Glasgow.

Schaeffler joined fellow Original Equipment Suppliers Aftermarket Association (OESAA) members in welcoming technicians through the doors of the GTG Academy. Throughout the two days, Schaeffler’s ‘Mobility for Tomorrow’ module soon became the weekend’s hot topic of conversation between many delegates and some familiar faces from the REPXPERT team. Technicians were given an engaging and interactive insight into the innovations that are already on our roads, such as thermal management modules and intelligent anti-roll control stabilisation systems.

Product Development Manager, Martyn Holt, who was part of a 17-strong team from Schaeffler, said: “Our E-Mobility module at Autoinform was very well-received, with many delegates taking an interest. Everybody who attended the interactive sessions said that they were keen to understand more about this important subject and were looking forward to Schaeffler offering more insights into the future of E-Mobility.”

Meanwhile, on the LuK 2CT dry double clutch course, 48 delegates were trained, assessed and certificated to IMI approved standards. Following an introduction to the different types of double clutch systems, REPXPERT, Alistair Mason, advised technicians on the potential revenue stream available to them. He also demonstrated the removal and replacement of a Volkswagen DSG clutch using a 2CT repair solution, developed exclusively by Schaeffler.

REPXPERT, Tim Adams, was also on-hand at Autoinform Live to share his belt system and wheel bearing expertise. He gave an invaluable presentation to technicians about common installation errors, as well as some of more challenging ones.

Once all the hard work had been completed on Saturday, everybody involved in the event, including delegates and trainers, attended a Gala dinner.
