NGK Spark Plugs was once again one of the star attractions at the MechanEx Show at Sandown Park, which took place last month.

The company, renowned for its original equipment spark plugs and glow plugs, was focusing on its market-leading NTK sensors range at the two-day event, attracting plenty of interest from garage workshop visitors.

NGK is the world’s largest manufacturer of Lambda sensors and NTK has been proving its know-how for decades as a leader in the production of OE Lambda sensors for vehicle manufacturers while supplying the same components to the aftermarket.

In September, the company added to the NTK range with the launch of new ranges of Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensors and Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensors to further strength its engine management sensors’ portfolio.

The NTK range comprises 87 MAF sensors and 69 MAP sensors and both provide the ECU with a signal needed to calculate the amount of air aspirated by the engine.

NGK Spark Plugs Marketing Manager Mark Hallam said, “Green is our NTK brand colour, so we decided to have a green theme at the show to highlight our environmentally-friendly credentials and we were delighted with the response from the workshop visitors who fit our sensors.” He added, “As an OE supplier, we work very closely with vehicle manufacturers to provide the best possible components to help reduce vehicle emissions and protect the environment. Our NTK Lambda sensors always match the VMs’ specifications so workshops can be sure that they are fitting the perfect sensor for their customers’ vehicles.”
