Schaeffler to repeat MechanEx success

Schaeffler Automotive Aftermarket staff will use the next MechanEx Show at Donington Park to give garage technicians expert hands-on practical advice on using the company’s advanced products.

Garage visitors to the show on October 7th and 8th will have the opportunity to learn more about the company’s LuK clutch, INA tensioner and FAG wheel bearing products and how they can best be used in the workshop.

The company held a series of hands-on technical sessions when it debuted a new stand at the recent MechanEx Show at Event City, Manchester, where staff gave advice on a variety of topics including fitting FAG wheel bearings, working on LuK DSG clutches, and INA UniAir products.

Schaeffler Automotive Aftermarket Technical Services Manager Malcolm Short said, “We were very happy with how the show went. Garage visitors to MechanEx appreciate receiving technical assistance and the show is the ideal location to give them hands-on demonstrations on how our products work and how they can best be used effectively in the workshop.” He added, “Manchester saw the first appearance of our new stand and we held demonstrations over the two days which proved very popular with garage visitors. We will repeat this at Donington Park in October where we will look to focus on some of our other products.”

Schaeffler Automotive Aftermarket (UK) Ltd spends a lot of time and resource on supplying high quality technical training for its distributor and garage customers and recently opened a new training centre at its Hereford headquarters.

The Hereford site is approved as an IMI Awards Assessment Centre which can deliver Quality Assured Awards (QAA) training via its LuK Double Clutch Training Programme, and Schaeffler plans to offer further training courses to companies over the forthcoming months.
