A raft of new LuK parts for the aftermarket has been introduced, including some significant new additions to cater for the latest clutch technology.

The company says it has introduced clutches and Dual Mass Flywheels (DMFs) to cater for the seamless shift gearbox – the latest development in clutch and gearbox technology – which is now starting to be seen in the aftermarket.

LuK currently has many of the DMFs available for the Volkswagen DSG gearbox and is introducing an aftermarket clutch solution for these gearboxes known as the LuK RepSet 2CT.

These clutches and DMFs will be supplied with all the necessary components, including the blanking plugs for the removal of the dry type clutch.

It’s predicted that sales of vehicles fitted with this type of gearbox will account for 40% of all new Volkswagen Group models within the next few years and LuK can provide the necessary technical assistance and application and fitting guidance required to work on them.

Recent new products released by LuK for a total vehicle parc of more than 583,000 include: 16 LuK RepSets for a vehicle parc of 191,638; four RepSet Pros, 77,504; ten DMFs, 168,353; and five LuK Cylinders, 145,850.
