Oil and additive specialist LIQUI-MOLY has introduced a new petrol stabiliser designed to combat the problems of vehicles in “hibernation” over the winter months.

Every year many cars, especially convertibles and classics, motorbikes and other engined devices such as lawnmowers, are put away for the winter. While in storage corrosion due to condensation in the tank and oxidation can cause issues, which often mean an engine fails to start in the spring.

LIQUI-MOLY Petrol Stabiliser offers a solution by way of a modern, ash-free substance combination with conserving and material-protecting properties, that is formulated using the latest, state-of-the-art additive and fuel technology. This additive is suitable for all 4 and 2-stroke petrol engines.

It is easy to use with a 25 ml dose sufficient for 5 l of fuel. Before decommissioning the stabiliser is added to the tank in the correct quantity and the motor is left to run for around 10 minutes. It will then protect the tank and ensure easier spring starting.
