German oil and additive specialist LIQUI MOLY has held a special casting session for a car to be featured in its prestigious calendar. 330 vehicle enthusiasts applied with their four-wheel dreams for the winner’s sole place in the 2019 edition and car coming out on top was Rudolf Polzer’s DeLorean DMC-12.

The car that won the casting and took part in the photo shoot for the 2019 LIQUI MOLY calendar once belonged to Hollywood star Sammy Davis Junior, who was also a DeLorean investor. Like Sammy Davis Junior himself, the DeLorean enjoyed a successful Hollywood career in the “Back to the Future” film series.

After being selected by LIQUI MOLY, Rudolf brought his pride and joy to a container terminal in Munich-Riem to take part in the shoot.
