Red Clip Link Rods, strong, safe solution from FAI

Link rods are subjected to some extreme stresses during vehicle operations, especially on Irish roads,  and parts specialist FAI offers a convenient solution for fitting a more strongly constructed Link Rod where the application demands it.

Some FAI link rods have a red securing clip and this signifies a stronger construction of the ball joint providing a reassuring repair solution to the aftermarket. The added strength FAI design is perfect for potholed roads as the ball pin pull-out force has been improved by 25 kgf over the original design, making for a long-lasting replacement.

The red securing clips do not feature on all FAI link rods, but does feature on those where analysis by FAI, parts fitters and partner factories have identified an application that would benefit from the added strength. This means that the long lasting technology has now been applied to over 60 FAI parts, covering hundreds of models as manufacturers often share platforms and related components.  FAI customers can easily identify an FAI part which utilises this technology by the red securing clip visible at the bottom of the assembly. Some of the biggest sellers include common applications like the Ford C-max, Focus II, Mondeo IV, and Transit Connect.

These Red Clip Link Rods are available from FAI stockists.
