Dayco has highlighted it engine product and drive systems expertise, as well as its strong vehicle manufacturer partnerships, by playing its part in the achievement of more top industry accolades.

At the International Engine of the Year Awards, Ford’s innovative, 999cc three-cylinder turbo, which features in models such as the Fiesta, Focus, C-Max and Mondeo, was again crowned winner of the Sub 150PS category, while the VW 2.0-litre four-cylinder TFSI unit, used in a wide range of VAG vehicles, topped the 150PS to 250PS classification. Dayco supplies the entire primary drive system, which incorporates its ground-breaking BIO (belt-in-oil), for the Ford unit and the timing/water pump belt for the VW engine, emphasizing the company’s technical ability.

Dayco has also received the honour of quality achievement certification from PACCAR. This company not only designs and builds a range of light, medium and heavy-duty trucks under the DAF, Kenworth and Peterbilt brand names, but is also a major diesel engine manufacturer and parts distributor.

Dayco’s Global Key Account Manager, Martin Johansson says, “To be awarded with PACCAR’s 10 PMM achievement certification for quality, is a tremendous accolade for Dayco, the components we produce and the entire team.” He added, “With this certification, PACCAR acknowledges that its reputation for producing trucks of unsurpassed quality is in no small part due to suppliers such as Dayco, who have achieved its quality expectations. This is therefore, an achievement that makes us extremely proud and endorses the inherent design characteristics and technical capacity of our products.”
