Bosch once again had a major presence at Automechanika Frankfurt where it was presenting many new product, service, and information innovations as well as giving practical training and providing a look at the future of the automotive workshop.

On the stand visitors could see firsthand the latest enhancements made to the Bosch Esitronic 2.0 software, which now provides faster information and better connectivity. The new KTS 250 tester for mobile and quick ECU diagnosis was also being demonstrated on the stand.

The very latest technology for testing common rail diesel injectors was on show for the first time. Bosch says the DCI 700 Diesel Test Bench with measurement system has the capacity to future-proof a business in this growing sector.

The huge potential on offer in the air-conditioning service sector was also highlighted, with several new fully automatic units on display. Bosch says these can provide trouble free air-con servicing and opens up a huge area of business potential for bodyshops and garages.

Once of the main focuses was on the future workshop and how Bosch is working on digitalisation solutions that meet the challenges of future repairs and diagnostics. Bosch is already making huge strides in this area through improved connectivity and databased solutions and is also innovating in areas such as training through use of augmented reality. Bosch says through use of its interconnected systems workshops cannot not only be better prepared for future challenges, but also significantly boost current productivity through less work duplication.
