Swedish electric vehicle maker Polestar has revealed its new SUV coupé the Polestar 4. It has a striking design with dual-motors and four 102-kWh batteries providing plenty of performance. However, the big talking point about the design is what it is lacking, a rear window.

A high-definition screen replaces the rear-view mirror, displaying a real-time feed from a roof-mounted rear camera, and providing a much broader field of vision. The lack of a rear screen also allows for better aerodynamics, adding to the range and creates the opportunity to reimagine the car’s rear interior providing significant extra space.

To make the interior airy it has a full length glass roof, with the option of an electrochromic function to switch between opaque or transparent.

Production of the Polestar 4 will begin in the autumn before a 2024 launch
