Otto Car Parts has celebrated it first 10 years of operation in Cork. The branch in Little Island is managed by Jonathan Bermingham, who together with the dedicated Otto Cork staff team, of Liza, Kieran, Stephen and new recruit Pawel have taken it from strength to strength during the decade.

Barry McDowell the founder of the OTTO chain in Ireland commented, “It wasn’t so long ago that the Cork branch was the new kid on the block in the OTTO network. Ten years has really flown by and I am delighted to say the branch has been a huge success.”

Reflecting how the business has grown, the branch relocated five years ago to offer more space for the ever expanding Otto range of parts and components. At the time great care was taken to find the right location and a high profile easy access location was chosen at the entrance to Little Island. With its stand-out lighting and attractive signage, it quickly became a familiar landmark to anyone visiting the Cork NCT centre. Barry commented, “Since we first started out in 1995 in a high street location in Ranelagh, Dublin we have always appreciated the importance of a prime location and the Little Island premises have certainly delivered this.”

Barry adds, “Over the years we have built up excellent working relationships with the many garages and workshops in Cork and greatly appreciate their business. In fact many of our best customers have been with us right since the start. They value the high quality parts we sell, our very competitive pricing, fast deliveries and our ever increasing range of products.”

Established initially as a specialist supplier of German car parts, OTTO has since expanded its range to include all makes and models, while maintaining its German expertise. In recent years OTTO’s main growth area has been in Japanese, Korean and other non-German European vehicles, where it can now offer a very comprehensive range from a selection of leading brands.

Barry concludes, “Our first ten years have been a great success and with an ever expanding range of products, new delivery vehicles and even better pricing we are looking forward to the next ten years in Cork.”
