Despite weather conditions more akin to AutoMester’s Scandinavian home, the local people of Ballina turned out in large numbers for the official opening of Judges Auto Services recently.

The day was organised in conjunction with the opening of Judges Service Station, which is run by PJ’s brother Eamonn, on the adjoining site.

AutoMester mascot Gubben, and members of the AutoMester team, joined PJ and his team to greet their many loyal customers, among them local Fianna Fail TD Dara Calleary, who is a valued customer of the Judge family. Dara was very interested to hear more about the AutoMester network and its origins in Denmark.

Also in attendance was Mary Judge, who started the business with PJ’s late father in 1961. It was very interesting to hear Mary speak of the changes in the business over the years, but also the similarities, in that then and now, the customer is still the most important part of the business. PJ noted that one of the reasons he joined the AutoMester concept was because AutoMester stresses the need, "to ensure customers are very well looked after when they visit your garage."

Later in the afternoon the family were joined by members of the Sligo Rovers FAI Cup winning team, as well as members of the victorious Mayo Minor GAA, who won the All-Ireland title last September, for the official launch.

The AutoMester team wish continued success to the Judge family in the future.
