HaynesPro, the professional data solutions business of Haynes Publishing Group is strengthening its online technical data presence with the acquisition of E3 Technical.

The acquisition sees HaynesPro taking on all of E3 Technical’s direct and indirect business from Carweb Ltd, a subsidiary of Solera Holdings Inc. This includes: Repair and Maintenance Information (RMI); Vehicle Registration Mark (VRM) look-up software, associated helpdesks and a number of Carweb’s employees. All customer contracts relating to the E3 Technical business will transfer to HaynesPro.

HaynesPro is the European market leader for online automotive workshop data, serving more than 50,000 workshops through its European partners. It has been collaborating with Carweb since 2009.

Haynes says the acquisition will deepen HaynesPro’s relationships with automotive professionals with the addition of E3 Technical’s support desk and VRM services allowing HaynesPro to enhance services. The E3 Technical team will now have direct access to HaynesPro’s WorkshopData and the RMI database which is based on manufacturers’ information. A team of high-level data and IT staff will also ensure an uninterrupted supply of services and data across its customer base.

Peter van der Galiën, Managing Director of HaynesPro, said, "This acquisition is an important milestone in our European growth strategy and significantly enhances HaynesPro’s data offering.  Having worked with the E3 Technical team for many years, we know that we are bringing on board the best talent and capabilities in the industry.”

Darryl Watts, former E3 Technical Sales Director and new HaynesPro UK Managing Director, said, "We are excited to be joining the HaynesPro team. The acquisition reflects our strong commitment to providing UK partners and customers with the best possible technical data solutions. It also guarantees the continuity of existing services, without any interruptions during the hand-over, and ensures the development of future products to meet customer and partner needs.”
