Euro Car Parts, the UK’s largest car and van parts distributor, and Netherlands-based Sator Holding, have announced that they are merging to create one of the largest aftermarket parts organisations in Europe.

Sukhpal Singh Ahluwalia, MD of LKQ Europe, which includes Euro Car Parts, says the new group will have annualised sales of over €1 billion. He commented, “We intend to use this power and world-sourcing capability to drive down the cost of car parts, to the benefit of Europe’s hard-pressed motorists and fleet operators.”

The merger has been financed by the LKQ Corporation which is the largest provider of aftermarket, recycled and refurbished collision replacement parts in the US and Canada. Sator Holding was established in 2005 and has over 800 employees and distributes from 11 warehouse locations in Netherlands, Belgium and Northern France.
