Hundreds of motor trade businesses across Ireland are going the extra mile to support frontline staff in the fight against Covid-19 and Anthony Manning and the team at Mannings Garage in Kilmallock, Co. Limerick were keen to do what they can. Anthony recently acquired a car sanitiser and is offering the service for free to emergency service providers and vehicles involved in frontline activities.

Anthony commented “Keeping front line service vehicles hygienically clean at this time is critical and our ozone sanitizing machine, offers a very effective way of giving the vehicle interior a complete deep clean. The process kills viruses and bacteria and takes away unpleasant odours. It leaves cabins completely clean and sanitised.”

In addition to the ozone sanitizing process the team at Mannings Garage also use an Atom Machine to clean and purify the vehicle air vents, before manually cleaning all of the touch points in the car with anti-bacterial cleaner. The deep clean sanitizing process is generally completed by fitting a new cabin filter.

Anthony has offered the service free of charge to both the Garda and the fire service. It has also been used for the Blood Bike vans, which transport blood and other urgent medical supplies across the region and for vehicles which are used to transport hospital patients.

Anthony has also been helping out by offering support to hospital staff and other frontline workers, from helping a nurse who had looked her keys in her car, to assisting with flat batteries and punctures. He comments, “We are doing what we can to support key workers in the fantastic work they are doing. We are only a phone call away and will call out to help with any vehicle issues and emergencies.”
