LIQUI MOLY maintains high profile at winter sporting spectacles

Oil and additive specialist, LIQUI MOLY, well known for its sponsorship support in motor sports, will also be seen on the ski slopes and at other sports events this winter as it will be a sponsor of various competitions including the Four Hills Tournament.


After almost a decade, LIQUI MOLY is back as the main official sponsor for the Four Hills Tournament, the large ski jump event. "The event guarantees high quality sport and top billing in the media," says Peter Baumann, who is responsible for Marketing at LIQUI MOLY. It is the current highlight of the Ulm-based company's winter sport sponsorship, which includes the Nordic World Ski Championships, the Nordic Combined World Cup, the Bobsleigh and Skeleton World Cup and the skiing Giant Slalom.

In January LIQUI MOLY will also have a high profile role at the World Men's Handball Championship as teams from 24 nations meet in Germany and Denmark. This will be followed by a main sponsorship role at the largest annual winter sport event, the Ice Hockey World Championship in May.

These sponsorships help to maintain the profile of the brand and bring benefits to LIQUI MOLY business partners in terms of an international market presence all year round. Ernst Prost, CEO of LIQUI MOLY said, "Winter sports and other major events outside of motor sport are becoming increasingly important in our marketing strategy."
