Following on from a highly successful Automechanika Birmingham and ahead of its participation at Automechanika Frankfurt, Sara Turella, the recently appointed Export Sales Director at the Japanparts Group, has been speaking about the impressive growth of the organisation and its plans to further develop its aftermarket business.

Established in 1988, and now incorporating the Japanparts, Ashika and Japko brands, the Italian parts specialist has seen dramatic growth in recent years. It now operates in some 70 countries across 5 continents and with a range of 30,000 plus parts in 140 different product groups.

Looking to the future Sara said, “The Japanparts Group is planning to invest many more resources and is constantly monitoring its product offer to ensure it covers the most in-demand products and provides the most complete quality alternative at a competitive price.” She adds, “Customers are increasingly choosing Japanparts because of excellent availability, quality equivalent to OE standards, our wide range and competitive prices”.

Japanparts complies with European Regulation BER 461/2010 and is ISO 9001:2008 certified for Quality Management. It also has an extensive in-house testing programme and offers product guarantees of 24/36 months.

Sara says that range expansion is a top priority commenting, “The development of the range is of vital importance within the Group. A professional and motivated team is able to enlarge the range of approximately 500 SKUs per month with constant attention to the market needs.” She adds, “The strength of Japanparts lies in its flexibility, the speed of adapting to such a dynamic and quick-paced global market, increasingly significant stocks, and limited costs. Improving these qualities is our main target for the future.”

Known as a specialist in parts for Asian and American cars, under the “Yes We Have” initiative Japanparts is increasingly offering a strong European programme. This has been especially successful with the recent introduction of a shock absorber range supported by a new dedicated warehouse. Sara said, “In 2018 Japanparts Group developed the European range also for EGR valves and water pumps. The next steps will be to introduce the EU parts for the braking family: brake pads, brake discs, brake drums and brake shoes. In order to accomplish this ambitious project Japanparts Group will inaugurate in 2019 the new area of the logistics hub, a total of 53,000 m2 of surface area designed according to the latest logistics systems.”
