Jaguar Land Rover is to use virtual reality headsets to allow customers to experience new models before they arrive at the showroom. Virtual Reality Experience packs will be introduced to dealers globally in the coming months.

Potential customers will be offered a virtual tour of new models, where they can see and interact with a life-size model through a VR headset. As well as the vehicle interior the headset will take customers on a journey under the bonnet with the help of animations to show technical innovations.

Andy Goss, Jaguar Land Rover group sales operations director, said, “As if our vehicles weren’t exciting enough already, this new way of buying a car will engage customers further with our innovative capabilities. The VR Experience will also help retailers break the ice with customers and inject even more fun into the process of buying our vehicles.”
