TRICO is urging garages to boost wiper sales and drive customer satisfaction this spring with a free wiper check. It is backing this by offering workshops full marketing support, training, technical assistance, sales promotion guidance and point-of-sale material.

TRICO windscreen wiper blades give customers exactly what they’re looking for, from easy installation for the technician to long lasting premium performance for the user.”

TRICO’s says it Exact Fit programme could not be easier to install, as the blade comes straight out of the package and onto the car, with no loose clips or components to try and fit.

The TRICO Flex programme replaces both Original Equipment fit beam blades and upgrades hook arm blades to the latest design, allowing for the step up from a conventional windscreen wiper blade to premium beam technology at a reasonable price.  This range consists of just 14 part numbers to deliver 95% vehicle coverage and so is ideal for workshops where storage space is at a premium.

TRICO points out that rear integral blades should be changed just as often as the front wipers, although most drivers only change their rear blade every five years or so. Highlighting this is a great opportunity to help customers and win their loyalty. Rear blade sales now account for 10% of all wiper blade sales, so workshops therefore need to offer a comprehensive programme to cover the market needs and take advantage of this additional revenue opportunity.

To help fitters, TRICO also has uploaded a number of useful step-by-step fitting videos for technicians on its own YouTube channel. With nearly 60 videos and over 30,000 views, the channel is proving popular. The videos include common issues technicians have in fitting particular wiper blades and a 30 second video for common queries.
