The full-LED headlamp developed by Hella has received the Premier Automotive Suppliers' Contribution to Excellence (PACE) Finalist Award in Detroit. This award has been honouring excellence in international automotive parts suppliers' products for more than 15 years.

The award usually goes to solutions that have a significant influence on the market and represent a real innovation for the automotive industry. Through this prize, the independent jury, which took a close look at the innovative strength of Hella during a visit to Lippstadt, is honouring a special innovation in the field of automotive lighting. The Cadillac Escalade Platinum with Hella full-LED headlamp is the first sports utility vehicle (SUV) in the world to be equipped with this pioneering LED lighting technology.

With this LED headlamp from Hella, drivers experience a lighting performance on a par with Xenon light. The light color is even closer to daylight, which means drivers tire less quickly and makes driving much more relaxing for them. In addition, the LED headlamp has been given a completely new appearance by the 7 free-form projection lenses used here for the first time, opening up new and far-reaching styling options in terms of differentiation potential for car manufacturers. This award, which is highly regarded in the international automotive industry, impressively confirms Hella's innovative leadership in the field of automotive lighting.
