KYB Europe Aftermarket has launched a photo competition on its Facebook page aimed at finding some of the worst examples of worn and faulty shock absorbers that garages come across.

When a technician sees a shock in shocking condition he or she is encouraged to take a photo and upload it to the KYB page. The competition is aimed at highlighting the large number of vehicles driving with dangerous and worn suspension parts. KYB wants to remind technicians how important it is to check shock absorbers, coil springs and mounting kits every time a vehicle comes into a workshop and will be making increasing use of social media to do this.

For the competition KYB will select the best, or worst examples, and followers on the Facebook page will get a chance to vote for the winners. The first prize is a top of the range Nikon SLR camera as well as a selection of Sykes Pickavant tools. There are also several other prizes.
The competition is open until Friday 26th September and can be entered at www.facebook.com/KYBSuspension
