The latest addition to FAI’s extensive engine components range is the Camshaft Carrier that fits most BMW and Mini 1.6D and 2.0D N47 variants. This is the first time that this popular component kit has been available from an aftermarket supplier. The FAI kit (part no.: LR350) includes all cam caps, cam cap bolts, and O-Rings to complete the installation.

FAI says that a well-known, common occurrence in N47 engines is Timing Chain Kit failure and when this problem presents itself, the Cam Carrier has an inherent tendency to fracture in one corner. This makes it an in-demand replacement component. The corresponding Timing Chain Kit for these engines (TCK133C) is one of FAI’s most popular kits and when a replacement is undertaken, it is highly recommended that the camshaft carrier is thoroughly inspected for damage and replaced as part of the job if required.

The kit is suitable for BMW1, 2, 3, 4, 5, X1, X3, X5 models (1.6D and 2.0 D) 2005 >. These correspond to engine codes N47 D20 A, N47 D20 B, N47 D20 C, and N47 D20 D.

Across Mini models the kit is suitable for: MINI, CLUBMAN, COOPER, COUNTRYMAN, PACEMAN and ROADSTER, 2005>. These correspond to engine codes N47 C20 A and N47 C16 A.
