The GS Automotive Battery range from GS Yuasa continues to grow in popularity with Irish Motor Factors say distributors Serfac Limited. The rising popularity comes as the battery specialist introduces its new online battery training platform, the GS Yuasa Academy, which it says is set to revolutionise battery training.

The latest three-tiered GS range features striking battery case designs, improved performance and a fresh livery and is designed to meet the needs of modern vehicles with SMF, EFB and AGM batteries that offer excellent performance and value.

The GS Yuasa Academy was launched last month and is now available online at academy.gs-yuasa.eu.  Aimed at improving customer service, reducing warranty returns and maximising battery business potential, it is the first programme of its type for comprehensive online battery training and provides over 20 certified courses tailored to different job roles.

Jon Pritchard, General Sales and Marketing Manager at GS Yuasa Battery Sales said, “The reaction to GS Yuasa Academy has been fantastic. Our customers have been impressed with the wide range of courses on offer, the easy-to-follow, bite sized, modules and how upon completion of each course a downloadable certificate is achieved.”

Designed for both individuals and organisations the training content is delivered in dynamic video format with downloadable support material.  Each course module only takes a few minutes to complete and users can leave the site and return to pick up where they left off at any time. The various multiple-choice tests along the way allow individuals to review their learning and check their understanding as they progress.

Gillian Fanning of Serfac said, “In Asia, and many other parts of the world, GS is renowned as the leading automotive battery.  Since we launched the latest brand line-up, GS has continued to grow in popularity with our motor factor customers.  The online training opportunities offered by the GS Yuasa Academy are particularly valuable in terms of further brand development and we’re confident that GS will further increase its market share this coming winter season.”

The GS automotive battery range is supported by a powerful trade battery lookup site - batterylookup.gs-battery.com.  Based on GS Yuasa’s online battery lookup, the system is a fast, accurate battery finder providing the correct applications and detailed fitting information.
