DENSO continues to uses its OE expertise to provide new aftermarket opportunities with product expansions and new market initiatives introduced at Automechanika, featuring many new OE aftermarket components unique to the DENSO range.

DENSO now offers 28 advanced, OE quality replacement automotive parts ranges to independent aftermarket customers across 40 European countries, including many products and technologies that are unique to the company.

One of the key announcements made by DENSO was news of an additional 7 Double Coil part numbers added to the Glow Plug range from September. These cover 215 key applications and means DENSO’s OE quality replacement Glow Plugs programme now ranks as one of the highest in the aftermarket in terms of vehicle parc coverage. 11 more Glow Plugs are also set to be added by December.

DENSO is very much an aftermarket leader in Engine Management System components and is now in the process of introducing ranges of Cam Sensors and Crank Sensors adding to its existing Mass Air Flow Sensor, Ignition Coil, Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve, Fuel Pump and Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor ranges which are also seeing major range extensions. The company has also significantly improved coverage on its OE quality, replacement Lambda Sensors programme, making it one of the most extensive in the market, with many sensors being unique to DENSO.

Of special interest to the Irish market, Denso also used Automechanika to raise the profile of its growing range of replacement DENSO diesel components, with the aim of encouraging customers to ‘think DENSO’ for their diesel needs.  The company is a pioneer in many diesel technologies, and every replacement DENSO diesel part is unique within the aftermarket.

Speaking at Automechanika, Martin Pring DENSO’s Manager for Aftermarket Sales commented, "Ireland is a very important market for DENSO and we have achieved outstanding growth in it over the past year. We are now expanding our distribution base to provide even better access to our OE quality aftermarket parts programmes and combining this high quality customer care.”
