A rapidly growing number of car sales outlets right across Ireland are now reaping the benefits of costs saving offered by a unique piantless dent removal service offered by DentReflect. The economical and convenient service is now being used by both new car dealerships, especially for vehicles damaged in transit or in showroom, and used car sales outlets nationwide who have discovered the benefits it can offer in both getting cars ready for sale quickly and protecting their value.

The man behind DentReflect is Michael O’Connor who is one of the most skilled exponents of the art of paintless dent removal in the country. His expertise means that providing the paint surface has not been breached, he can repair minor bodywork damage, restoring it to as new condition and crucially keeping the vehicle paint warranty intact. Because the process does not involve any filling or painting it can also be carried out quickly, cleanly and conveniently at the dealer premises.

Michael works right across Ireland and will generally spend a day or a half day at a dealership or sales outlet carrying out repairs. It is a highly skilled process but because of his expertise, equipment and keen eye, he can achieve a perfect repair quickly and often at a fraction of the cost of a painted job. He says, "Dealership like this method because it maintains the original factory finish and keeps the paint warranty valid. It also offers huge cost saving potential because you do not have to move cars off site and, for example, on a silver car you don’t have to paint a full side to blend in one minor filled dent. This means a big saving in both labour time and paint cost.”

Michael also points out that a paintless repair is best way to protect a vehicle’s value after damage as vehicle inspectors will easily spot painted repairs using an electronic paint gauge after repair and will cut values accordingly. However, a skilled PDR repair is almost totally undetectable.

PDR is suitable for both steel and aluminium panels and can remedy dents, creases, door dings and hail damage. It can also be used as part of a technique called "push-to-paint” whereby the need for filling on more major repairs is minimised.
