The stand of the bilstein group is always one of the busiest at Automechanika and this year was no exception.
 
2014 is a landmark year for the group in a number of different ways, as both the parent company and its brands celebrate important anniversaries. This was reflected on the stand and with special events organised to coincide with the show.  
 
This year is the 170th anniversary of the founding of the company Ferdinand Bilstein GmbH + Co. KG. The family run automotive company was founded way back in 1844, making it one of the long-established suppliers in the automotive aftermarket. To mark this, Ferdinand Bilstein guests and employees from right around the world attended a special reception in Frankfurt.
 
2014 is also a year of significance for the group brands SWAG and Blueprint. SWAG was celebrating sixty years of service at Automechanika having first started producing replacement engine parts in 1954. Meanwhile, Blue Print, the youngest addition to the bilstein group family, was also approaching its coming of age, celebrating twenty years since it was first established.
 
The bilstein group made the point that all this adds up to a total of 250 years of pooled expertise and excellent customer relationships.  
 
Celebrating past achievements was one aspect of the show for the bilstein group; however, it was also very much looking to the future with all three brands introducing new products and service initiatives.
