The momentum is fast building towards Automechanika Birmingham which this year takes place from 5-7 June 2018 at the NEC Birmingham. This is the UKs premier automotive industry event and attracts many hundreds of visitors from the Irish market.


The 2018 event features an all new layout which has been designed to reflect feedback from visitors to the 2017 show. Over 85% of these visitors intend to return this year and will be greeted by the new format which sees 3 halls dedicated to aftermarket, garage and vehicle production. 

In all, the event will have over 500 exhibitors, with 170 being international companies and 150 being new to Automechanika Birmingham. Many leading aftermarket names will be in attendance including, Delphi Technologies, Bosch, LIQUI MOLY, HELLA, MANN-FILTER, TEXA, Draper Tools, DURA, WIX Filters, Hofmann Megaplan, The Race Group, Milwaukee and many more.
NEW exhibitors confirmed to 2018 include: Snap-on, MEC-DIESEL spa, EFI Automotive Service, Premier Components , Mac Tools, Stanners Equipment, EDT Automotive and many more.

The aftermarket hall will also feature a retail village dedicated to the latest offerings in vehicle accessories.

One of the new features will be a dedicated Garage Quarter focusing on workshop tools and garage equipment. As well as a wide range of exhibitors, many of whom will be offering show special deals and discounts, this will feature interactive training and demonstrations. There will also be special Tech Talks from respected industry figures such as Frank Massey, James Dillon and Andy Crook. Bodyshops and refinishers will also be catered for with a wide range of exhibitors and a repair demo zone and featuring latest techniques and hot issues such as ADAS calibration.

Thorough-out the three day event there will be a range of topical and interesting seminars covering a wide variety of aftermarket subject matter including; connectivity and the aftermarket, electrification and digitalisation of distribution and retail.

Other changes for 2018 include new stand signage and numbering to make locating stands easier and extended opening hours in the garage section. 

In the previous two year of the event the number of visitors from Ireland has been especially noteworthy and the feedback from those travelling has been overwhelmingly positive. This year also promise to have a large Irish contingent. Travel to the venue is especially easy with the NEC located right next to Birmingham Airport.
