Revive highlights petrol engine cleaner opportunities

Revive is now firmly established in Ireland as a simple, economical and highly effective turbo cleaning product for diesel engines, but less well know is the capability of its turbo cleaner for petrol engines.

The company says that traditionally turbo petrol engines do not feature variable vane turbochargers and burn much cleaner that diesels. However, legislative changes over recent years mean that car manufacturers are increasing adopting solutions for petrol engines such as VGT turbos and direct port fuel injection.

Newer cars fitted with direct petrol injection are now showing signs of problems with independent garages. Revive says the issue is that having the fuel delivered straight to the cylinders instead of through the intake means that there is no longer fuel backwash over the valves. This has always kept the valves cleaner for longer ensuring that the valve correctly seats each time it moves.

Without the aid of the fuel backwash the face and stems of the valves starts to develop carbon deposits which can impede their operation and in extreme cases can lower compression in the cylinder, causing rough running of the engine or hesitation through the rev range leading to a drop off in performance and fuel economy.

Revive point out that because most treatments on the market are designed to go in the fuel tank this also means that they will bypass the areas that need cleaning and just get burnt up during combustion.

Revive Petrol is a non-toxic, non-flammable treatment that just like its diesel counterpart is sprayed into the air intake of the engine, ensuring that it will take the traditional path through the valves and into the combustion chamber. Revives nano technology means that while it is entering the intake at velocity the special Revive molecules contained in the fluid stick to both soft and hard carbon deposits and gently scrapes them away from any surface it touches on the way though the engine.

Because the fluid is not combustible it will avoid things like clatter and engine run away, negating any possible damage to components. The end result is a recovery of lost power, better fuel economy and a smoother running engine.
