Technicians who recently completed an LuK dry double clutch system course at the REPXPERT Academy in Hereford have described it as absolutely fantastic. The good news is that the REPXERTS will be in Ireland next month giving Irish technicians the chance to complete IMI accredited double clutch training.

Schaeffler REPXPERT Alistair Mason welcomed a dozen members for the course in Hereford recently and delivered a thorough overview of LuK double clutch technology, including operation, installation, diagnosis, tooling and replacement, using different LuK 2CT repair solutions.  Northway Auto Services Managing Director, Richard Williams was one of those on the course and commented, “It was absolutely fantastic, a very professional and informative experience. Alistair kept things simple but explained technical practices to technical people.” He added, “Without the course, we wouldn’t be able to work out certain fault codes, for example, so this means we’re now more confident in taking on double clutch work. It also means we will only order and fit LuK clutches.”

This type of training is vital for independent garages as this advanced new skill adds to a garage repair repertoire and means they are able to confidently work on the fast growing number of double clutch-equipped vehicles on the road.

Alistair and fellow REPXPERT Jonny Harris will be two of the trainers at Autoinform LIVE which takes place in Ireland for the first time next month.
