The latest round of the MechanExpert Technical Roadshows take place this week at venues in the North East.

These MechanExpert training evenings proved very popular at venues around Ireland in 2017. They are targeted progressive technicians who are looking to expand their knowledge and expertise and at others in the trade wishing to broaden their technical knowledge and get a better insight into new developments.

Leading aftermarket suppliers attending each event include: Apec, Bosch, Comma, FAG, Gates, Hella, INA, Kilen, KYB, LuK and Mann Filter. Each of the suppliers is there to offer information, displays and demonstrations of some of their latest innovations and provide garage owners and technicians with the opportunity to get the latest practical diagnostic and repair tips. There are also short informative presentations on developing technology and how to tackle certain technical and vehicle specific issues that workshops encounter on a regular basis.

Two new experts will be in attendance for the first time; James Mainwaring, of Schaeffler and Sid Kitchin, of Comma. Both say they are looking forward to getting involved with the unique MechanExpert combination of open forum discussion, informative talks, relaxed atmosphere and real-life demonstrations.

The latest round of events will once again be held at easy to access locations, outside of normal working hours to make attendance as convenient as possible. The Roadshows are completely free of charge and refreshments are provided.

The latest event details to note are:
  • Tue 10th April – Drogheda, Glenside Hotel, Dublin Road, in partnership with John Delaney Motor Factors
  • Wed 11th April – Dundalk, Dundalk Institute of Technology, in partnership with John Laverty Motor Factors
  • Thursday 12th April – Portadown, Southern Regional College, in partnership with AC Vehicle Components
