Laser Tools has introduced a new low-profile truck oil drain unit that it says can save considerable time in any CV workshop.

The oil drainage unit (part number 7228) is fully portable, very low-profile, castor-mounted and features an easy to use rotary pump for clean and safe emptying. It has a 65 litre capacity drain reservoir unit and is constructed from high-impact polyethylene. Laser says that at less than 20cm deep it will easily fit under most HGVs and LGVs without any jacking-up. It also includes handy storage spaces for oil filters and drain plugs at each corner.

When finished, the reservoir is emptied by the hand-operated rotary pump using a two-metre discharge pipe. A removable anti-splash screen prevents particles entering the reservoir and pump.
