Revive gives turbos a new lease of life

Poor maintenance regimes and use of the wrong oil currently mean that thousands of cars across Ireland are suffering from turbo problems. These vehicles might still run, but their performance is sluggish, their fuel consumption goes up and those tell-tell puffs of black smoke from the exhaust mean they are heading for NCT failure.

Many garages shy away from these issues because of the fear of expensive turbo cleaning or replacement. However, many others are happy to tackle turbo issues because they have discovered Revive Turbo Cleaner. This offers a simple and cost effective answer to turbo issues with no time consuming disassembly required. The process is so easy that mechanics often doubt it can produce the claimed results, until they actually try it for themselves.

Revive is very popular right across Europe and the company has highlighted one prime example of what a difference it can make from Denmark. Thomas Landberg of Chiptuning.nu was faced with a 2002 Seat Toledo 1.9TDi 110hp with 330000 km on the clock. The customer wanted to improve performance and thought chip tuning might boost fuel economy. A diagnostic check revealed serious issues with the turbo. Thomas said, “It was worst example of a defective turbo I have ever seen. Further checks found the turbo pressure reached 1.5 bars when it should only y hit 1.2 bars.” He added, “We thought it would be good fun to put Revive to this ultimate test, also because the customer was aware he had to change the turbo, we had nothing to lose.”

Thomas continues, “We gave the car a Revive treatment and a good run. There was lots of smoke and then gradually the turbo pressure started to act normally and after some minutes the turbo pressure was 99 % perfect. It was like we had fitted a new turbo!”

Revive says this is just one extreme example of how the treatment can work, even on turbos that you might consider beyond hope.

Revive is available from motor factor stockists nationwide.
