When it comes to braking components ATE is a name that both car manufacturers and aftermarket professionals can rely on. The German brake specialist has well over 100 years experience in the braking sector, and today is a leading producer of high-quality wear parts for brakes, hydraulic parts, special tools and test equipment.

ATE is part of the Continental group of companies, which develops intelligent technologies to move people and their goods, offering sustainable, safe, convenient, individual and affordable solutions. ATE forms a key element in the success of Continental, developing pioneering solutions in the braking field. Founded in 1906 by Alfred Teves, ATE has been responsible for much pioneering technology including; ceramic brake pads, low-viscosity brake fluid, the first series production ABS system, floating calliper and much more.

This track record of innovation has been recognised by vehicle manufacturers around the world who rely on ATE products and systems for outstanding braking performance.

This success is also reflected in the aftermarket where professional technicians recognise the outstanding quality of ATE components. For example, ATE uses 150 different material compounds for its brake pads to ensure a perfect match to the original, where as most competitors are usually satisfied with between four and five compounds.

A further indication of quality is delivered in ISO 9001 quality certification, a zero defect manufacturing policy and extensive and rigorous testing well beyond normal standards.
