New look and superior performance for Brembo Xtra pads

Brembo Xtra brake pads are getting a new look and will continue to offer superior braking performance, providing the ideal solution for drivers in search of sports driving, without compromising on comfort and durability during use on the road.

The first Brembo Xtra brake pads featuring brand-new graphics are now available for purchase. They feature  a grey shim with red pad printing, also bearing the “Brembo Xtra” logo, and no laser engraving on the friction material. This restyling process aims to set the Xtra range of brake pads apart from Brembo’s other brake pads. The distinction is completed by the addition of a recyclable protective film bearing the Brembo logos.

The pads feature the OE derived BRMXL01 compound and more than 30 components studied and tested in Brembo’s advanced research laboratories. All the pads are ECE R90 approved for road use.

Brembo Xtra pads offer great pedal feel for perfect brake pedal precision and total control over the braking action that fully gives the sports driving pleasure. This is combined with comfort, and an assurance consistent and safe braking action is when the performance is kept constant, both during the high temperature cycles as well as during the cold ones that follow.

They also have a friction coefficient that remains stable under all usage conditions which assures an even temperature and pressure distribution thus preventing hot spots from forming on the braking surface and therefore vibrations.

The many road and bench tests that have been carried out on the pads have all highlighted a relevant reduction of the wear for the Max and Xtra discs. This also applies to the friction material when compared with the results achieved with standard pads that aren't developed for this use. A reduced wear of the friction components and the corresponding reduction of the dust emissions assure that the rims will be cleaner compared to the standard.
