Spies Hecker has introduced Permasolid HS Race Clear Coat 8700, a new lacquer that it says is not only easy to work with, but also cures very quickly and delivers high-gloss results.

Permasolid HS Race Clear Coat 8700 is a clear coat that has a simple application process that starts with the mixing ratio. It is adjusted 2:1 with the Permasolid Race Hardener 3470 and with ten percent of Race Additive 9070. The clear coat is applied in two sprays with a short flash-off time. Thanks to its low viscosity, it is particularly easy to work with, which provides excellent wetting of the surface resulting in very smooth flow and good holdout.

For seamless blending Spies Hecker is now also offering new Permacron Race Blender 1070. "Thanks to the clear coat’s rapid hardening, repaired body parts can be further processed immediately after baking," says Kevin. "And after a short cooling period, you can polish and assemble."

With the Permasolid HS Race Clear Coating 8700, Spies Hecker say they can provide bodyshops with a reliable and flexible way to adapt the drying of the clear coat to individual needs. For bodyshops looking for speed and efficiency, the Race Clear Coat can be dried at 60°C object temperature in 15 minutes. It is also possible to dry at 40°C.
